I stared at his tan fingers and his clean, cut nails. Those hands had wrapped around so many people's necks before squeezing the life right out of them. With a deep breath, I stepped towards him, determined to shut off my mind so I wouldn’t take any memories from him that would add to the ones that already haunted me. He took my hand in his and whispered a spell.
I was committed to this now, whether I wanted to be or not. I’d sold my soul to my father, a man no better than the devil himself.
Want to read more? I should have this one out before the end of the year. If you haven't read my first novel, be sure to enter my giveaway in the post below. You could win an eBook copy of Blood, She Read and/or a $25 gift card from Amazon or Kobo.

I can't wait for the sequel. I loved, loved, loved the first book and don't want to wait all year for the next one. :( I think it's going to be even better than the first if that's even possible. I will impatiently await for the sequel. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Shannon. I'll try super hard to finish as soon as possible. :-) You made my day.
DeleteOoh please tell me there's more Sebastian in book 2 ?? I'm still hoping for a Sebastian spin-off :D
ReplyDeleteYes! And maybe a little interaction between Gina and Sebastian... which was really fun to write :-)
DeleteHi I just saw your name on RWAC and would love to know more about your books.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a chance to read "Blood, she reads"! Thank you for this nice giveaway! It gives me a chance to discover your book!
Hi, Nicole! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm so happy to hear you want to read my book. I saw your comment on the RWAC Facebook page and hadn't had a chance to comment yet. It's kind of crazy how many authors we have in Nova Scotia for such a small population and most of the ladies in our group are published, while others are well on their way. I see you're a fan of Julianne. Me too! I still get a bit fangirlish when I see her at the meetings. :-) Hope to talk to you again.
DeleteLove the imagery! Glad to have met you through SSS and wishing you much success!
ReplyDeleteOOh, Sara. That sounds so good.
